Charlie's Great Glass Elevator

Zack, Harrison and Quentin decided to make Charlie's Great Glass Elevator.  (We love Roald Dahl in M11).  Here they are with their finished product.
Well done boys.

Chocolate Fractions

Last week we learned about fractions.  We decided to make it fun by using chocolate.  As you can see David and Johan are really focused.  And they got to eat the materials at the end of the lesson!

Handwashing Experiment

With some fantastic parent help, Chris,
we learned the importance of washing our hands and getting rid of germs.  The red paint represents the germs.

Art Day with Gretchen

Awhile ago we had an art day with Gretchen, where we explored the human skeleton.

Measuring Plants

We have been measuring our sunflowers to see how much they grow.

The Dog Ate My Homework

The Dog Ate My Homework
by Isla

I was on my way to bed when I saw Fergus, my dog, eating my homework - it was A Gruesome Story.  Fergus had made an enormous mess and my carpet was covered with paper.  It was disappointing.  Then he made me fall out of my bed in the middle of the night.  After that he went under the covers because he thinks he is a person.  It was horrible I fell asleep on the floor on a Katy Perry cardboard cutout.

Tilly, the Escape Artist, Came for a Visit

A letter to the author Roald Dahl

Dear Roald Dahl,

My teacher told me you are very grumpy,
but I don't believe her.
I think that you have a nice warm heart.
I love your books, but I've got a question.
Why are all of your books connected to London?
I just don't get it.
Do you think I'll become a story writer?

Fozzie Bob
by Lily Hegglun

It was a school night.  My mum woke me up.  I didn't want to get up, but I had to, so I got out of bed and got dressed and I went to get breakfast.  That's when I saw Fozzie Bob eating Rice Bubbles with no milk and with out me.  I was sad that he was doing this because I wanted to eat breakfast with him.  Luckily, he didn't eat much and I had a sandwich instead.
